My family has eaten here a couple times and the food doesn't disappoint. It's a nice little family owned restaurant that thankfully has survived the past year. I got an enchilada and my husband got his favorite, chile colorado. We were very happy with our meal and service.

We are vacationing in Virginia and it’s been difficult finding a place open past 9. The Italian restaurant next door, Roma Italian, closes at 10p just like this place and we were rudely turned away at 9:24! Whereas this Mexican restaurant welcomed us in with open arms and smiles. Thank you considering we drove 20 min to get here. The food was nice, hot and fresh! You deserve 5 stars. Life is too short to not smile, be friendly, serve well and be kind.

You wouldn’t know it from the outside but in terms of the food taste, portion size, prices, and service, this place is incredibly good. In these days of overpriced restaurants, Los Tres Portillo is very affordable!! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican fare at very reasonable prices, and super respectable and professional service, look no further!

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant. It is rarely so crowded that you have service delays (though it does get crowded at meal times). The staff is friendly, the service is quick and the food is pretty great. The space is a bit cavernous and you are basically all in a single large undivided room - so don't go for the atmosphere. But definitely go for the food, which is tasty authentic and quite reasonably priced.
